What is Venetian Plaster?!
Imported all the way from Italy, venetian plaster is a luxurious wall finish made of lime plaster and marble dust. The lime putty base is made from the mixture of fired limestone and water. When this is applied to a surface and burnished, it can leave an amazing marble/stone appearance that returns to being a limestone coating. This is considered a lifetime finish.
All our Venetian Plaster applications consist of the true marmorino lime based plasters imported from Italy. These products are aged for a minimum of 12 months.
Absorbs CO2
As the lime plaster is applied to walls/ceilings, it gets exposed to the CO2 within the air and begins to absorb it in order to turn back into limestone. This is a continuous cycle which in turn strengthens the work of art now protecting your surface.
Odorless & Toxic-FREE
No waiting for those stinky paint fumes to clear the house with Venetian Plaster. Unlike paint which is chemically produced, Venetian Plaster is made from natural ingredients such as lime and marble dust. It contains no Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) and causes no issues even when being applied.
Regulates Humidity
Although the final product appears hard as stone, it's actually breathable for your walls unlike paint. It allows moisture to escape from the underlying layer so your home will actually be less hot and humid. It dries quickly and prevents moisture from being trapped.
Low Maintenance & Lifetime Finish
The easiest surface to clean among all. Wipe with a damp cloth and good as new! This is considered a lifetime finish guaranteed to last decades. It's actually less prone to cracking and shrinking than cement finishes. Can't even compare those numbers to paint.
Mold & Mildew Prevention
As with any lime-based wall finish, Venetian Plaster is alkaline in nature. With it's high pH level, it acts as a natural fungicide.
